Stars Of Karting

In the absence of any karting in our household this summer, we decided to visit the Stars of Karting Canadian round at Woodbine racetrack. This semi pro series promised to offer some great racing action for a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately we arrived just in time for the rather pathetic media race. Legendary Canadian horse jockey Sandy Hawley was running away with the race until the second last lap, when his engine started sputtering & he ended up finishing third to some radio guys I had never heard of.
We caught a bit of Junior Inter Continental qualifying & then the rapidly approaching lightning storm sent us scurrying back to the car. Who would have know that we were about to experience the worst storm the Toronto area has seen in years.
